Do you have some tips to share about using Elluminate?

Tip #1: Don't recreate the wheel!

Elluminate offers a a lot of ready-made and free online training. There's a live training option, recorded trainings, and useful guides in print-ready PDF! Training is available for moderator and participant roles. Learn more from: http://elluminate.com/support/training/

Tip #2: Resolution matters!

To ensure your participants see the best quality reduce your monitor screen resolution to the current standard (1024x768) prior to enabling desktop sharing (i.e., "Application Sharing"). Resolution and size of your desktop will be better for the range of possible settings participants might use and screen-scrolling will be smoother.

Tip #3: Don't mouse around!

When you are sharing an application try not to move your mouse around on the screen too much as you speak. Sometimes a presenter may scan the mouse back and forth around the screen  or over an object on the screen while speaking in an effort to emphasize some part of the page. However, too much movement might make viewers/participants a bit dizzy! Try to only move the mouse to locations on the screen where actions are going to be happen (e.g., typing, clicking, and so forth).

Great tips, LisaMarie! I "second" your promotion of Elluminate training tools. They are superb! They also have free live training that is excellent. Thanks! Leecy
