ESL

http://esl.about.com/ - You've got to see it to believe it. Have your students explore and teach others what they've found. About.com has numerous other resources. Go to http://www.about.com and start clicking on the topics, listed on the right in alphabetical order.

http://www.elllo.org/  - The site has over 1,000 taped conversations with English language speakers from around the world, covering a wide variety of authentic conversation topics.  Newer conversations have quizzes and tapescripts of the conversation. The site has great potential for classroom use or individual use in the computer lab or at home.  Below are descriptions of the activities available on the site.  Check it out and see what would work for your learners!

PARENTING

http://www.dpsk12.org/calendars/ and http://parentguide.dpsk12.org/ - Parenting - some useful dps links. - We looked at the proposed calendars for 2009-2010, 2010-2001. My parents looked at the proposed options and then took the online survey. Integration...Parent Time, being involved in decision making, practicing computer skills...I did let them do it in Spanish so there was a little ESL because they had to use the computer. The parent guide is great...lots of information they need. Practice English. Use the Computer. Or if necessary the more complicated material is available in Spanish. (Tom Dietvorst)

FUN ACTIVITIES
